The Reichdrill story is rooted in the heart of American industry. It began in 1943 in Terre Haute, Indiana, when our founder, Wendell Reich, revolutionized the drilling world by inventing the first hydraulic top-head drive rotary drill. What started as a breakthrough for the coal and aggregate markets soon set a global standard for power and efficiency.
While our reach grew, becoming one of the world's largest manufacturers by the 1960s, our commitment to American craftmanship never wavered. In 1984, we returned to our independent roots as Reichdrill Inc., establishing our headquarters in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania. Today, every rig we ship is still built right here in Philipsburg. From the first weld of American steel to the final assembly, we carry forward a 80 year tradition of rugged, 100% American-made excellence.
